Lead with the decision, not the cells
A spreadsheet-to-explainer video should not reproduce a sheet tab by tab. It should help a viewer understand the one comparison or change that affects the next decision. State the period, unit, baseline, and source before showing a conclusion.

Use one relationship per visual beat
Show a trend before explaining its likely implication. Show a comparison before naming the preferred route. If the source includes several metrics, put them in the order the decision needs them rather than the order the columns happen to use. Keep formulas, raw data, and complete tables in the workbook for review.
Worked KPI check: source cells, units, and video evidence
The operating KPI case pairs the original XLSX with its video and source-to-scene map. The workbook contains fictional demonstration data, not customer results. Source values and formulas were checked on September 7, 2026; the case page records the September 6 video review. W01–W12 are relative week labels, not calendar dates.

Summary cells are on KPI Summary; each C-cell references the named cell on Weekly Data. Percentage variances are percentage points: 95% − 92% = 3 percentage points, not 3% relative growth. The summary reverses subtraction for cycle time and escalations because lower is better against these example targets.
The workbook supplies weekly values and summary formulas, but no raw event records, denominator definitions, exclusions, calendar mapping, or cycle-time weighting rule. Those cannot be independently validated from this file. Before using your own data, record the numerator/denominator, filters, date range, source version, and sign-off by the responsible data reviewer. A plausible narration does not fill a missing definition.
